These brackets are specially designed to work with the BMS 6 qt modulor oil pan motor mount as well as the Smallcar motor mount. They hold the muffler rigidly to the engine mount assembly. Used in one position for the Syncro and oppositely for the 2WD, they allow the use of a stock VW muffler or any other muffler with similar dimensions and hold the muffler close to the stock position.
